Not the same as Texas, I know…but we were in the desert, too and I actually prefer that to the beauty of the coast because (for me) it was easier to see the beauty in God’s creation when you have to LOOK for it. It’s like a great treasure hunt, and all the same time, it’s not really a hunt at all because God’s placed so many beautiful things and people all around you that all you have to do is just BE there. Or maybe I’m partial to deserts because God did so much for us while we lived in one? :-D
